About the Founder and Consultant

Lead Consultant – The Rev. Dr. Barbara E. Headley is founder and lead consultant of Selah Educational & Ministry Resources.  Dr. Headley has over 26 years of ministerial experience working with churches and community organizations. She has taught at several universities and colleges, including Hartford Seminary, Yale Divinity School and Harvard Divinity School.  Dr. Headley has experience and training in leadership development, congregational assessment, conflict transformation, organizational strategic planning, diversity and cross cultural competencies.

• Dr. Headley has a B.S. from Ithaca College, a M. Div from Union Theological Seminary in NYC and a Doctor of Ministry degree (D. Min) with distinction from Hartford Seminary, in Hartford CT. She has attended Bay Path College’s Nonprofit Management and Fundraising Graduate program.

• Dr. Headley is also a certified Diversity and Cross Cultural consultant with HumaNext Communication Ideas, Inc.

• She has studied at The New York School of the Bible, New York Theological Seminary, the Jerusalem Center of Biblical Studies in Israel and at the University of Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa.
